Karla Gutierrez Gonzalez

Karla Gutierrez Gonzalez serves as the Patient Care Coordinator at SoftDental, where she helps patients navigate every step of their treatment — from scheduling and insurance questions to coordinating treatment plans with the clinical team.

Karla is often the first face patients see when they walk in, and the steady voice on the phone when they have questions between visits. She handles appointment scheduling, dental records, insurance coordination, and treatment plan logistics, and works closely with Dr. Nguyen and the clinical team to keep care moving smoothly for every family in the practice. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Karla helps Spanish-speaking patients feel welcomed and clearly informed from the moment they call or walk in.

Beyond her work at SoftDental, Karla is preparing for the next chapter of her healthcare career. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston and is now completing post-baccalaureate prerequisite coursework with the goal of applying to medical school. Working alongside Dr. Nguyen and our clinical team gives her daily exposure to real patient care, and her commitment to that future shapes the warmth and attentiveness she brings to her current role.

Outside the office, Karla balances her studies with time for family and continued learning.
