Joyce Santiago

Joyce Santiago brings extensive dental experience to her role as Dr. Minh Nguyen’s lead dental assistant at SoftDental. She earned her dentistry degree from Universidad del Zulia in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and in 2010 opened her own dental clinic in Venezuela, practicing as a dentist and clinic owner until 2016. That year she relocated to Houston, completed her Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential and BLS CPR certification, and in 2017 joined SoftDental as the practice’s lead dental assistant.

Joyce assists Dr. Nguyen in every procedure performed at the practice — from routine fillings and crowns to dental implants, root canals, deep cleanings, and full-mouth restorations. She prepares treatment rooms, supports the doctor chairside, takes dental X-rays when needed, and helps each appointment move smoothly from start to finish.

Joyce is known throughout the office for her clinical strength. Her years of practice as a dentist and clinic owner in Venezuela give her exceptional hands-on experience that shows in everything from her instrument handling to her eye for technique and the small details that separate a good dental procedure from an excellent one. Dr. Nguyen relies on her skill and steadiness during complex cases, and patients benefit from the calm confidence she brings to the chair.

Outside the office, Joyce continues to grow her clinical knowledge and enjoys time with family and friends.
